Fabio Vieira has joined FC Porto in Portugal on a season-long loan.

For the 2024–25 season, Fabio Vieira will play for FC Porto on loan.

For us, the 24-year-old came from a Portuguese team and joined in June 2022. He has since played 49 times in all categories.

The versatile midfielder came up through Porto’s youth program and played his first game for us in September 2022, coming on as a replacement in our away Premier League game at Manchester United. Fabio scored his first goal right away in the next league game, a 3-0 win away at Brentford. It was a memorable strike.

Fabio helped us win our first trophy of the season, the FA Community Shield, against Manchester City in the first game of the 2023 season. He scored the goal that sealed our 4-1 win at Wembley Stadium.

When Fabio was younger, he played for Portugal and scored 14 goals in 25 games for the under-21 team. He also played in all of Portugal’s games on their way to the final of the 2019 U19 European Championships, where they came in second place.

We hope everything goes well for Fabio while he is on loan at Porto this season.

The loan deal will only go through once certain legal steps are finished.
