The Next Episode Of One Piece Will Answer A Big Question About Kuzan

Kuzan, better known by his alias Aokiji, is a former Marine Admiral who was among the standout characters in One Piece Episode 1114. Fans have known about Kuzan for a very long time because he was the first Admiral to appear in the story. During his debut, Kuzan used his power to nullify the threat of the Monster Trio without any problems.

He froze all three before they could even harm a hair on the Admiral’s head. Kuzan went on to appear in the Marineford arc, where he helped the Marines win the Summit War against the Whitebeard Pirates. Kuzan utilized his Devil Fruit to nullify Whitebeard’s massive tsunamis, which would have otherwise destroyed Marineford in next to no time. Following their victory, Sengoku stepped down from the position, creating the need for a new Fleet Admiral. Two candidates emerged for the spot, Kuzan and Sakazuki.

1Why Did Kuzan Quit The Marines?

Losing To Sakazuki Sent Kuzan Into A Downward Spiral

Kuzan was personally recommended by Sengoku to become the Fleet Admiral. On the other hand, Sakazuki was selected by the members of the World Government. The two characters have vastly different ideologies, so choosing the correct person was important. Due to their inability to figure out who would lead the Marines, the two Admirals decided to fight. So, it was decided that Kuzan and Sakazuki would fight on Punk Hazard to settle who would claim the position of Fleet Admiral.

The clash between the two lasted for ten days, and changed the climate of the island drastically. One half of Punk Hazard had unbearable heat, while the other became cold. After ten days of struggling, Sakazuki came out on top. He could have killed Kuzan but decided against it out of mercy. Following his defeat, Kuzan decided that he could not work under Akainu and left the Marines. Shortly after the time-skip, it was revealed that Kuzan ended up joining the Blackbeard Pirates, but it was never disclosed why. One Piece Episode 1115 will change this.

Kuzan’s Reasons For Joining The Blackbeard Pirates

The Admiral’s Personality Is The Complete Opposite Of The Pirates

In Episode 1114, fans saw a glimpse of Kuzan’s first interaction with Blackbeard. It occurred on an island in the New World, where Kuzan managed to freeze three of the Ten Titanic Captains of the Blackbeard Pirates. Blackbeard inquired if he was the aggressor, to which he replied that it was the pirates who tried attacking him first. The episode ended before it could go into more depth about what had transpired.

In the preview of One Piece Episode 1115, it was confirmed that Kuzan’s story would be revealed. This will be a big revelation as it never made sense why a sensible individual like Kuzan joined one of the most heinous pirate crews in One Piece. As more information comes out, maybe Kuzan’s decision will make more sense.

The Connection between Former Admiral Kuzan And Monkey D. Garp

A Fight Between Two Of The Biggest Names In One Piece

There is a small possibility that the upcoming episode will disclose Garp and Kuzan’s interactions from years ago, when the latter used to be the Vice Admiral’s student. Garp took Kuzan under his wing and helped him become stronger. It is safe to assume that Kuzan had some level of respect and admiration for Garp, and he possibly wanted to be like him. With so much history between them, the upcoming fight becomes even more interesting.

Since Garp is on Hachinosu trying to rescue Koby, Kuzan has no option but to attack his former mentor. Kuzan has already frozen Hibari, and Koby could suffer the same fate if Garp doesn’t interfere. As Kuzan’s teacher, Garp knows Kuzan very well, and he knows what is going through his mind. The former Admiral doesn’t seem like he is going to hold back and go easy on Garp, so the fight will be intense. As the two behemoths clash, the important question is: who will win?

The Winner Of The Battle On Hachinosu

The Result Of The Fight Will Affect The Entire World

Both Kuzan and Garp are talented fighters who know the extent of their respective abilities. Kuzan is a Devil Fruit user who has the power to freeze anything. With this ability, Kuzan can easily defend himself against any incoming attacks. The Devil Fruit’s offensive abilities are no joke either. Kuzan is capable of freezing large bodies of water in next to no time. So, it is very easy for him to do the same to a human being. This is why Garp needs to be on his toes, as a single misstep could lead to death.

Kuzan will also tread carefully as he knows what his mentor is capable of. Garp has already demonstrated that a single punch can level an entire town in just seconds. If a person were to be struck by one of them, it would be lights out for them. Needless to say, the fight is going to be intense, and whoever wins it will be able to finish their business.
