Lilith (2018) is a psychological horror film directed by Alexander T. Hwang. The film delves into the concept of vengeance and supernatural entities, focusing on the ancient myth of Lilith, a demonic figure often associated with seduction, death, and punishment. This low-budget indie horror movie intertwines elements of psychological torment, possession, and dark mythological lore.

Plot Summary:

The story follows a group of troubled individuals who find themselves seeking help from a mysterious therapist, Dr. Gabriel (played by Vernon Wells). Each of these individuals is battling their personal demons, whether it be guilt, depression, or grief. However, unknown to them, their therapist has a dark and sinister secret.

Dr. Gabriel introduces them to Lilith (played by Savannah Whitten), a demonic seductress who feeds on their sins and guilt. Lilith, believed to be the first wife of Adam according to ancient mythology, punishes those who have wronged others. As the therapy sessions progress, each person is forced to confront their darkest secrets, with Lilith manipulating and terrorizing them. One by one, they begin to fall under her control, leading to horrifying consequences.

Lilith’s presence brings out the characters’ deepest fears and worst actions, causing them to spiral into madness and terror. The film ultimately blurs the lines between psychological and supernatural horror, as the characters are driven to confront not just Lilith but their own guilt and accountability.
