Max Verstappen Reacts to FIA’s Final Ruling on Sainz-Perez Crash with Shocking Statement

Max Verstappen has voiced his strong opinions following the FIA’s final decision regarding the collision between Carlos Sainz and Sergio Perez at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. The stewards concluded that neither driver was predominantly at fault, labeling the incident as a racing collision, much to the surprise of many in the F1 world.

In the aftermath, Verstappen didn’t hold back. He expressed his frustration with the verdict, stating, “I expected more accountability from the FIA, but once again, they’ve chosen to brush it off as a ‘racing incident.’ It’s getting tiresome.” He added, “We can’t keep letting these situations slide, especially when safety is at risk.”

Verstappen’s comments highlight the growing tension within the Red Bull camp, especially as his teammate Perez was involved in the heavy crash. Both drivers were forced into the wall, and while the FIA concluded the incident didn’t warrant further action, the reigning champion clearly feels there should have been repercussions.

As the dust settles on the Azerbaijan GP, Verstappen’s words have ignited further debate about the FIA’s handling of close-call incidents, particularly in such high-stakes situations.
