One Piece: Oda Might Have Revealed 3 More Supreme Grade Sword Users

Supreme Grade swords have always held tremendous importance in One Piece. They have a mystique about them that intrigues fans and the fact that they are so rare only makes them that much more special. These blades are carried by some of the most powerful individuals in the series, and fans have desperately wanted to know more wielders of these blades.

The very first wielder of one of these powerful blades was none other than the World’s Greatest Swordsman, Mihawk, however, there are many other powerful individuals, some even stronger than him, who wield these mighty blades. While fans know of 5 users of these powerful blades so far, there might be a few more hiding in plain sight.

Supreme Grade Blades

The Supreme Grade Blades Are Among The Mightiest Weapons In One Piece

Supreme Grade blades belong to swords called Meito. These are named blades that are crafted by very skilled swordsmiths from different parts of the world. These blades are special in more ways than one. They have different attributes, and certainly varying strengths. The grades of the blade determine how powerful a blade is, and, in some cases, how dangerous it is to wield. Fans have seen many powerful blades in One Piece, and most of them belong to different classes. For instance, there is the Grade Blade class, the Skillful Grade, the Great Grade, and the Supreme Grade class. All of them represent a different class of the blade, and the Supreme Grade ones are certainly the strongest of the lot.

Many famous swordsmen of the past have suffered tragic deaths while carrying the Kitetsu swords around!

As mentioned earlier, the first user of the Supreme Grade blades in One Piece was none other than Dracule Mihawk, the World’s Greatest Swordsman. His blade, Yoru, which also happens to be a black blade, is in a league of its own. At the same time, fans also know that there are other powerful individuals who wield these Supreme Grade swords. In total, there are 12 Supreme Grade swords in One Piece, with five of them having already been revealed to the fans. Mihawk is one of them, but other users include the likes of Whitebeard, Roger, Saint Nusjuro, and of course, Fujitora. Whitebeard wields a naginata, called Murakumogiri. Even though this is not a sword, it qualifies as a blade, and just goes to show how skilled Whitebeard truly was as a weapon user. Meanwhile, Roger carried Ace, a Supreme Grade Sword, using which he channeled his Conqueror’s Haki often. Fujitora, one of the Admirals in One Piece, carries a unique cane sword called Yakuza Kasen. All these swords are special in their own ways, and their true strength hasn’t even been shown in the story.

The Unseen Wielders Of The Supreme Grade Blades

One Piece May Have Many Supreme Grade Sword Users That Fans Haven’t Seen Yet

Given that there are 12 Supreme Grade swords in One Piece, seven more remain unseen at this point, which means that Oda will have to reveal more of them at some point later down the line. Of course, usually, Supreme Grade Swords fall in possession of the strongest individuals, and that makes perfect sense. As was confirmed in the Wano Country arc, a blade often chooses its owner. This means that only the strongest would be deemed worthy by the Supreme Grade blades, which is why they often end up in possession of these individuals.

Shanks’s Sword – Gryphon Is Wielded By A Yonko And Is A Supreme Grade Contender

One of the most obvious guesses for an individual with a Supreme Grade blade is none other than Shanks. Fans know that Shanks possesses the sword named Gryphon, and it is a saber. The sword is most likely incredibly powerful and durable, and Shanks likely uses it in a unique manner, where he utilizes it to channel Haki in battle. Recently, fans got to see Shanks use his sword to deliver a powerful Conqueror’s Haki blast to Eustass Kid, and completely knock him out in the process. Shanks’s sword is strong enough to qualify for the Supreme Grade rank, especially given that Fujitora’s is one as well.

Of course, there is no official confirmation as of yet, but fans can confidently say that this blade will be confirmed to be of the Supreme Grade class later down the line.

Convey my will to this blade… now let’s see if I am able to cut steel.

Saint Garling Figarland’s Sword

St Garling Figarland is a very important character who fans recently started seeing more of in One Piece. He’s the head of the Figarland Family, and the leader of the God’s Knights as well. Given that he holds such an important position, as was confirmed during the aftermath of the Reverie, and reiterated recently in one of the most important of the entire series in One Piece chapter 1121, fans can rest assured that his weapon is most likely a Supreme Grade Sword as well. Just like Shanks’s sword, his weapon is a saber, and fans will most definitely get to see him make use of it later down the line.

As to how he utilizes his sword, fans do not know. There are many ways to use powerful weapons and combat in One Piece. For instance, Fujitora’s devil fruit power is channeled through his sword, and he doesn’t use it like a regular blade. Meanwhile, Shanks channels Conqueror’s in many ways. Mihawk uses his sword as one would expect him to, and Whitebeard doesn’t even use a sword but utilizes his naginata in different ways.

Saint Garling Figarland could have a Devil Fruit power that he would channel through his blade, along with powerful Haki. Fans don’t know much about it just yet, however, as One Piece progresses, they will most likely find out more about his way of fighting.

The Mysterious Swordsman’s Blade

One Piece chapter 1121 confirmed a mysterious swordsman to the fans who also happens to be one of the most important characters in the entire series. Fans don’t know much about this character. However, he might just be a leading figure within the God’s Knights and Shanks’s very own sibling. He carries a saber just like Garling and Shanks, and if that truly is the case, then he could be in possession of another Supreme Grade sword. As to how strong his sword would be, fans cannot say just yet. All they can do is simply sit back and wait for Oda to illustrate this character properly and then have a look at what power he holds up his sleeve.

If there is one thing that fans can be absolutely certain about, it is that in the Final Saga, some of the strongest individuals will come together and this means the strongest blades in the entire series will now be tested against various enemies. Fans who love fights will most likely rejoice in this segment of the story, and it is only known to get better and more intense from here onwards.
