Tesla Cybertruck spotted with lightbar and new wheel covers

A Tesla Cybertruck has been spotted with the highly-anticipated lightbar add-on, along with the new, recently debuted aero wheel covers.

On Friday, a Tesla Cybertruck was seen at a Supercharger sporting the lightbar and new aero wheel covers, as shared on X by user Greggertruck and originally spotted by Francisco Garcia. The sighting comes after statements last month from the Cybertruck Vehicle Program Manager Siddhant Awasthi, who suggested that Foundation Series and Cyberbeast owners would soon gain access to the lightbar.

Many in the comments noted that the lightbar is mounted from outside the Cybertruck’s windshield, unlike early depictions that showed the accessory being mounted inside the glass.

The lightbar is expected to provide light for up to 1,575 feet (~480 meters), according to Tesla, and it’s been highly awaited since Tesla initially debuted the concept with early Cybertruck renderings. Tesla also released its core wheels and updated aero covers on its website this week, and the timely sighting may suggest that the company could finally be nearing the launch of the lightbar.

In addition, the lightbar is expected to be easily controlled from the user interface inside the Cybertruck, making it a seamless integration that doesn’t require separate controls from the ditch and main lights.

The lightbar is just one of many Cybertruck accessories that has been highly anticipated since the EV first launched last November. Alongside the launch, Tesla unveiled a wide range of “Base Camp” accessories, including the Cybertent, which debuted earlier this year, and the tailgate ramp, which hasn’t yet been made available.

Many Cybertruck owners are also awaiting the launch of the range extender, which Tesla quietly delayed to 2025 in recent weeks. Tesla has also been ramping up production of the Cybertruck itself at its Gigafactory in Austin, Texas, and the company is expected to continue delivering its launch edition Foundation Series for the next few months.
