Tesla has officially unveiled the highly anticipated 2025 Model Y Juniper, showcasing significant upgrades in design, technology, and performance. The Juniper, part of Tesla’s ambitious project, features a striking new exterior with an outward-protruding rear light bar and a redesigned front fascia. Inside, the model boasts a minimalist interior inspired by the Model 3, complete with a rotating central screen and enhanced ambient lighting.
Notable technological advancements include a new 15.4-inch diagonal display with 2.5K resolution, promising an immersive infotainment experience. Additionally, the Juniper is set to benefit from an increased battery capacity of 95 kWh, coupled with fourth-generation electric motors, potentially extending its driving range significantly.
Production is slated to begin in January 2025 at Tesla’s Shanghai Gigafactory, coinciding with an expected market launch. As Tesla prepares for this release, it has also extended financing options and discounts for the current Model Y in China, aiming to clear inventory ahead of the Juniper’s introduction. With these enhancements, the Juniper looks to solidify Tesla’s leadership in the EV market amidst growing competition.
